Global numbering. Specific network coverage.
QuietPass provides numbering-plan formatting, validation, and basic line type across the countries and territories supported by its metadata library. Enhanced line type, current carrier/MNP, and SIM-swap suppliers are not connected yet. Global numbering support does not mean global live network coverage.
Current capabilities
| Dataset | Current state | Basis and limits |
|---|---|---|
| Formatting and validation | Available · Free | Numbering-plan metadata; does not prove assignment or reachability. |
| Basic line type | Available · Free | Numbering-plan classification; can be ambiguous and is not port-corrected. |
| Enhanced line type | Not connected | No supplier-level result is available. |
| Current carrier and MNP | Not connected | No verified serving-network or portability result is available. |
| SIM swap | Not connected · Approval required | No live SIM-change signal is available. |

New Zealand is our initial campaign market
New Zealand numbers use country calling code +64 and country filter NZ. QuietPass’s numbering metadata supports New Zealand, but we have not enabled or verified live coverage for any New Zealand network. Marketing focus is separate from carrier availability.
Do not infer a current New Zealand carrier from a number’s prefix. Read the MNP and carrier lookup guide for the difference between original allocation and serving network.
Read coverage before sending a phone query
GET https://quietpass.com/v1/coverage
GET https://quietpass.com/v1/coverage?country=NZThe endpoint is public and does not require a phone number or API key. The optional country filter selects a supported two-letter country code. Each country contains a features object, a networks array, and its calling code.
Today, numbering validation and basic line type report available; the three network-backed features report not_connected. An empty networks list and a null networkCoverageVerifiedAt mean no network coverage has been verified, not that every carrier is supported.

Availability is separate from a number-level result
A feature can be listed for a country without producing a useful result for every number. Numbering metadata may return unknown or ambiguous classifications. The catalog also does not establish subscriber consent, customer approval, or number reachability. Always inspect the check status in the actual API response.
